Type of coaching and description

I specifically target three areas of leadership development

1. Personal Leadership – managing your own values, behaviors, and actions and fully assuming your role as a leader

2. Team/Stakeholder leadership – Growing effective relationships with superiors, peers, employees, and other stakeholders

3. Operational Leadership – Effectively leading and managing key organizational and business requirements such as strategic planning, governance, team building, performance management, and operational excellence.

My approach is more practical than theoretical as I believe that coaching is more effective when it’s an inherent part of the leader’s reality and day-to-day activities. I tend to use the current context, tangible examples, and real issues and dilemmas as the basis for coaching and development.

This leads to consistent and timely decision making, focus on results, and better alignment across the organization.

Qualifications

Served on steering committee responsible for the development of a coaching program for emerging leaders in a large, multinational aerospace organization. As an executive of a large organization, served as coach and mentor for emerging leaders within a structured coaching curriculum.

Multiple consulting mandates focused on developing senior leadership teams of small and medium size enterprises into high-performing teams. Extensive experience in leading multi-disciplinary teams in highly complex large-scale product development projects.

More about me

Let’s get the boring stuff out of the way first. I hold and engineering degree and an MBA from McGill University in Montréal. My professional experience spans 35 years, with 20 years of management experience, 10 of which at senior executive level, along with 4 years of business and leadership coaching experience.

I have been fortunate to spend most of my career in the aerospace industry, an extremely stressful and demanding industry, yet delightfully rewarding in many ways. It’s an environment filled with passion, innovation, dedication, and hard work where amazing things happen through collaboration, teamwork, and rigor and discipline, not only within my organization, but across a world-wide network of customers, suppliers, and collaborators. That’s where I grew up, both personally and professionally.

From my early days of program and project management, to eventually managing large-scale aircraft assembly plants with over 3000 employees, to leading the development of the largest and most prestigious private jet in the world, my career has been distinguished by bringing high performing people together and building a work environment that facilitates making a difference in areas of performance, customer service, and people development. Working in three different cities in two countries and travelling extensively across four continents has only strengthened my capacity to deal with different people, cultures, and leadership styles.

My passion today is bringing together all the experience and knowledge that I gained throughout the years and offering it to others through my consulting and coaching practice. My greatest joy comes from having a positive impact on other people and helping them become better, more effective leaders.
